Patient Care: Provide pre-operative counseling and follow-up care, including monitoring for recurrences.
Clinical Research: Participate in clinical trials, research, and surgical audits for continuous improvement in GI cancer treatment.
Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialized training in general surgery.
Fellowship: Specialized fellowship training in surgical oncology or hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery.
Expertise: Expertise in treating complex abdominal cancers, including esophageal, gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, and liver cancers.
Technical Proficiency: High level of skill in modern, minimally invasive, and robotic surgical technologies.
Esophagectomy: Removal of the tumor and affected esophageal tissue.
Colectomy: Resection of the colon to remove cancer and restore function.
Whipple Procedure: Complex pancreatic cancer surgery.
